Nine men and nine women earned 2002 USRowing Collegiate Honor Roll First Team accolades, USRowing announced Tuesday.
The USRowing Collegiate Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in both academics and rowing, as well as participated in extra curricular activities. Applicants must be USRowing members, have rowed or coxed in a men or women’s priority open or lightweight boat that raced at a league championship, have completed four semesters or six quarters of academic work, and have earned a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
The 2002 USRowing Collegiate Honor Roll includes six members of the 2001 teams, while Anna Mickelson and John Damen are three-time, first-team selections.
USRowing is the non-profit membership organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the U.S. USRowing’s Official Patron is Concept2, its Official Electronics Outfitter is Nielsen Kellerman, its Preferred Printer is Sport Graphics Printing, and its Official Supplier is BOC Advertising.
